Synopsis & Listing Information

Big Rock Partners Acquisition Corp. was a blank-check vehicle led by CEO Richard Chang, which targeted senior housing real estate before pivoting to biotechnology during its extended operational window.

Listing History: The SPAC closed its IPO in November 2017. The public components unbundled on the Nasdaq under ticker symbol BRPAW.

Business Combination: On May 24, 2021, Big Rock completed its definitive merger framework with clinical-stage pharmaceutical enterprise NeuroRx, Inc. Upon transaction closing, the unified corporate group renamed itself NRX Pharmaceuticals, Inc.

Ticker Change: Following the close of the transaction, the active warrants shifted from ticker BRPAW over to the updated trading symbol NRXPW on the Nasdaq market.

Reverse Split Adjustment: The company completed a 1-for-10 reverse stock split on April 12, 2024, which mathematically converted the option parameters to a strike price of $115.00 per share, requiring 10 warrants per new share.

Current Status: Active / Approaching Expiration. As of May 2026, the warrants trade under ticker NRXPW on the Nasdaq Capital Market. They are operating in their final weeks of terminal legal existence, heading toward a contract expiration cliff on May 24, 2026.

Warrant Terms
  • Expiration Date: The last day the warrants can be exercised. If warrants aren't going to be exercised then they must be sold the day before the expiry date. The longer the time to expiry the more valuable the warrants.
  • Leverage: A measure of how much you can increase your exposure to a share if you bought warrants instead of making a direct investment. It is the current share price divided by the current price of the warrant.
  • Intrinsic Value: The difference between the exercise price and the actual trading price of the common stock. Once the common has gone over the exercise price, the warrants are "In the Money."
  • Volatility: The higher the volatility rating, the higher the price of the warrant. Historical volatility is calculated by using the standard deviation of an underlying stock price over a specific period.
  • Time Value: The difference between the current warrant price and its intrinsic value. Interpreted as the consideration paid for the advantage the warrant buyer has over the direct investor.
