Ascendant Resources lists on TSX

The Toronto Stock Exchange reports that Ascendant Resources Inc.'s securities will begin trading on the TSX at the open on July 20, 2017. According to the TSX, there will be 71,734,927 shares issued and outstanding, with 25,911,077 shares reserved for issuance, and 11,787,500 warrants issued and outstanding, with 707,250 warrants reserved for issuance. The shares will trade under the symbol ASND and Cusip No. 043504 10 9, and the warrants will trade under the symbol ASND.WT and Cusip No. 043504 11 7.

According to the TSX, the company's shares have been listed on the TSX Venture Exchange under the symbol ASND since Dec. 21, 2016, and its warrants have been listed on the TSX-V since March 29, 2017, under the symbol ASND.WT. Prior to a name change in December, 2016, the company's shares had traded on the TSX-V under the symbol MOC since Dec. 22, 2009. Ascendant's securities will be delisted from the TSX-V upon the start of trading on the TSX.

The TSX reports that Ascendant's warrants are exercisable at $1.25 per share until 5 p.m. Toronto time on March 7, 2022. Additional information is available in the warrant indenture dated March 7, 2017, between the company and Computershare Trust Company of Canada.

Warrant Terms
  • Expiration Date: The last day the warrants can be exercised. If warrants aren't going to be exercised then they must be sold the day before the expiry date. The longer the time to expiry the more valuable the warrants.
  • Leverage: A measure of how much you can increase your exposure to a share if you bought warrants instead of making a direct investment. It is the current share price divided by the current price of the warrant.
  • Intrinsic Value: The difference between the exercise price and the actual trading price of the common stock. Once the common has gone over the exercise price, the warrants are "In the Money."
  • Volatility: The higher the volatility rating, the higher the price of the warrant. Historical volatility is calculated by using the standard deviation of an underlying stock price over a specific period.
  • Time Value: The difference between the current warrant price and its intrinsic value. Interpreted as the consideration paid for the advantage the warrant buyer has over the direct investor.
